Applying to UK MEDICAL SCHOOLS

Here, at ROD Academy, helping students to enter medical school is our mission. United Kingdom is a country where plenty of high quality medical schools are located. To apply to UK medical schools, simple follow the steps below:

• First, set up an online account on the application web page of UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admission Services) for an online application.

• Complete it with photos and the relevant documents

• Submit before deadline (15th of October)

• Prepare a personal statement

• Register to sit for UCAT and BMAT

• The UCAS Medicine Deadline for 2023 entry is 15 October 2023 at 18:00

The following is a list of Medical School with less demanding UCAT score

• University of Sunderland School of Medicine.

• University of Birmingham School of Medicine.

• Keele University School of Medicine.

• Aston University Medical School.

• University of Exeter Medical School.

Register to sit for IELTS

• Prepare for medical work experience and attachment

• Prepare for Medical School Interviews. Different medical schools have different ways of interview.

• Most students take 2 years to prepare for the above before they apply for UK medical schools

Entry requirements:

GCSE

GCE A-Levels

Chemistry, Biology are either compulsory or the preferred subjects

The next preferred subjects considered by Medical Schools are Physics and Maths (or Further Maths)

Medical work experience attachment or doctor shadowing

Check the requirement for each medical school for the pre-reqluisite A-Level Subjects and UCAT (University Clinical Aptitude Test )or BMAT (BioMedical Admission Test)

3A or A* in A2 are required to have a realistic chance of being invited for an interview

IELTS 7.5 overall and 7.0 or above in all the components
