The following are the science stream subjects that are highly recommended for students who want to pursue a tertiary study in health related profession such as medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and nutrition. 

 

The preferred subjects by medical schools are undoubtedly Chemistry and Biology for obvious reasons.  However, a good understanding of Physics is in fact essential in understanding  a lot of human physiology and patho-physiology of diseases during pre-clinical and clinical years. 

 

If you feel A-Level Physics, Chemistry and Biology are too difficult, pause for a moment because that is often not the reality.  They are not difficult, they are just new to you.  If you are guided step by step on how the concepts and knowledge of physics, chemistry and biology work logically and coherently, "new" materials of these subjects will turn into "familiar" concepts and principles.  That is what ROD Academy is here for - to help you overcome this hurdle, because nothing is too difficult when we do it together.  Most importantly, good results in these science stream subjects are either required or preferred by Medical School when selecting candidates for interviews.
